Hi Sandy, Try the library in Independence, it has a genealogical building right next to it. Has extensive reference material. Don't know if what you need is there, but its a pretty good bet you will find something you are looking for. Also Lewis Co. didn't come into existence until 1907, (had to look that one up). Mason Co was the parent Co., so any records before that might be found there. I have the Mason Co., marraige book, so could look there for you, if you give me names. Spirit
