Robert Danner, 79, of Portsmouth died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1988, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Cincinnati, a son of the late John Wesley and Maggie (Stamper) Danner. A retired pipefitter, he was a member of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 577 and Christ's Community Church. He was a 32nd degree mason and Aurora Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Nola Willis Danner; one daughter Deborah Dillon of Evansville, IN, two stepsons John and Dan Arnett of Portsmouth, one brother George Danner of Pennsylvania, one sister Mabel Pfeif of California, four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan, Elmer and Art Danner; and one sister Edna Mauntel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at F. C. Daehler Funeral Home, with Scott Rawlings and Richard Duduit officiating, and internment is Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Robert Danner was the grandson of William Taylor and Assenith (Orcutt) Stamper of Lewis Co., KY and the great grandson of George Washington and Catherine (Dyer) Stamper of Lewis Co., KY.
