Hi, I don't know if I can be much help because I haven't thoroughly researched my MOOREs. But, they are from Adams Co, OH and before that, VA and Scotland. My ancestor is Robert MOORE born on Feb.17, 1823. They settled in Fulton County and McDonough Co, IL...but were in Mason Co for a time. His father's name was William, for what it's worth.
