Ray Jennings, The names you are researching caught my interest mainly because of two names you listed. My time period is different, but since the names and locale are the same, there is always the possibility that they could be from the same family; diffrerent generation. I have a John Davis b ca 1871 in Lewis or Mason County and who had two children Katherine Belle (Katie) born 1892 and Nannie, born 1894. My John Davis died sometime between 1893-1897.
