I have only found that her husband was killed by Indians. there was an Obadiah Cox who has two children killed by Indians at Brush Creek but according to the Adams co., History this Obadiah lived a long life. You Wrote: Margaret MeCleese was the daughter of Daniel McCleese and Catharine McAllister [sometimes spelled McKlaster]. She was born about 1768 in Pennsylvania and died about 1850 in Lewis County. Q: I was glad to see the above as I have been searching for proof that Margaret was a McCleese. I also have her associated with the Stout family which also lived in the fort which Jacob Stricklett. I will be anxious to learn more about your line, Anna. I am from the Peter M. and Elizabeth Ginn Stricklett line.
