KY. He was 64 y.o. in the 1850 census, and is listed as birthplace Virginia. That would make his birthdated ~1786 or thereabouts, so about 30 y.o. in 1816... I also am descended from a James RUGGLES, also of Lewis CO., born in 1784. His son Alpheus, was my gggg grandfather and was born in 1804, birthplace, KY. He married Daniel CARR's daughter, Harriet. There is also a Jesse HAMRICK (sometimes spelled HAMBRICK), married in 1810 in Lewis Co. These three families are interrelated... could these be your three men? By the 1860 census, they were living in the area of Burtonville, Lewis Co. Sincerely, Pam Clark
