My Beers 'History of Brown Co,Oh" and Everts '"History of Clermont Co,Oh " conflict on Hezekiah[s] Lindsey. My Roster III ,Ohio DAR,and my Indiana DAR vols also conflict. 1802 census of Pleasant Township,Clermont [1818 became Brown Co] says JOHN LINDSEY. 1802 CENSUS OF Ohio township,Clermont Co,Oh says Wm Lindsey and Hezekiah Lindsey SR. Senior!. Oh,Dear ! - IND DAR VOL 1 RE JOHN C LINDSEY, HAS HIM SERVING IN SW Pa,and having a son,Jousha Lindsey,b abt 1775, marry Caty Mattox in 1794. Service in Westmoreland Co,Pa and adjoining Ohio Co,VA [state line contested by Va and Pa 1774-1781]I'm guessing applicant confused John Lindsey's. Anyway, I hav a John Lindsey as Elder of the Miller's Run Presbyterian about 1800,and ,1756,a David Lindsey as tenet on John Rodman's farm in Warwick township,Bucks Co,Pa. Neshaminy [Creek] Presbyterian is on the edge of Warwick. It was the church of Pres -Gen Grant's Simpson's and my Medary's. My childhood Bantam,Oh Presbyterian was founded by an ex Neshaminy Presbyterian,Samuel Simpson. 1772,a David Lindsey was in Twrone Township,old Bedford Co,Pa,but no Mattox yet. 1778 Tobias Mattox was involved with Lindsey's [there] on Miller's Run,w Chartiers. [Modern counties of Washington and Allegany Co'S Pa boundry is cut by Miller's Run. Ind DAR VOL 2 Hezekiah Liundsey Jr [!] surely must be Sr.[?] b 1747 d Feb 16,1828 m Barbara Faites. Service in Westmoreland Co,PA UNDER Capt Uriah Springer,Col John Gibson's [7th>13th Va] and served 3 years in Va line.
