    3. I hope that everyone has had an enjoyable holiday with friends and family this past week and that life is good. I just returned yesterday afternoon from spending ten days with my mother and after a long nap late in the afternoon and back to bed before midnight last night I find myself wide-eyed and sleepless so I thought I would update my files a bit this morning before getting ready for church at 9AM. While I was away from Missouri, my mother and I made a brief trip to Kentucky and I stopped into the Rowan County Library for a few minutes and made a few notes from the Lewis County Pioneer Families book (Volume II) printed in 1999 by the Lewis County Historical Society. Now of course I need more info! I am hoping perhaps some folks on the list might be able to help me with the following: Mattie DEATLEY (b. Apr 1894) m. William L. IRWIN 8 Sept 1911 Their children were: George, Charles, Chester, Eugene, Opal (KENNARD), Mary (Forrest KEGLEY), Martha (COOK) and Robert Shulta who died in infancy. I wondered if this Mattie is related (probably a niece?) to Cassandra DEATTLEY who married William Samuel KEGLEY? I feel there must be a close connection there, particularly with one of the IRWIN daughters marrying a KEGLEY. I also found notes for the families of Ernest and Hester (VERGNE) KEGLEY. Four children listed. Did Vincent KEGLEY marry and have a family? Josephine died at age 23; was she married prior to her death? Harry m. Velma PERKINS and they had two sons: Shawn and Brian. I would love to fill in their blanks. Billy died in early childhood. Was he born 29 March or 10 June 1932? I have conflicting dates. Ambrose and Exie (KEGLEY) REDDEN had six children. Would like birth order and additional info on them. (daughters married into GRIFFITH, WILLIAM, and THURSTON lines) I am always interested in ANY and ALL information of KEGLEY descendants. I do NOT sell my information to any data collection base for resale, nor do I intend to publish a book any time in the near future. My notes remain private and my sources are credited in my database as I have no wish to take credit for research that is not my own. Thanks! Dianna Gilliam justpeachy@greenhills.net
