The Maddoxes were in SW Lewis Co. near both Mason and Fleming Co. They had land in all three counties. In Mason Co. were the following marriages: 1800: William Wheatley to Mary Casleman, Marriage Bk., pg. 7 1803: Elizabeth Wheatley to Vincent Cleaney, pg. 12 & 60 1806: Mary Wheatley to James Allen, pg. 10 I do not know if they are the same family as Wheat, just spelled differently, or not. It seems I ran into someone else with a Maddox-Wheat connection in Fleming. Please send me what you know. My sister and I plan to go to Fleming Co. some time this winter to research there. Where do you live?
