I have known about a Polly Shepherd who married into the Plummer line, but to this point have been unable to connect to Solomon, other that the fact that a Solomon Shepherd signed her marriage application in place of her father. My assumption is that was possibly a brother or maybe even an uncle? I have never uncovered Elizabeths maiden name. Oddly this is where I am stuck, not enough proof to move along, plenty to bring me to todays date, but none father back. I have been unable to find a will for either Solomon or Elizabeth in Lewsi, Mason or Fleming countys. Elizabeths inventory was ordered march 30, 1816 in Lewis county also by Joseph Robb. I have a copy of a 1795 Census of KY compiled from 1795 tax lists for all of KY on it are the following: Shepard, Adam, Jefferson Shepard, George, Mason Shepard, James, Logan Shepard, John, Mason Shepard, John Sr., Mason Shepard, Solomon, Mason Shepard, William, Mason Shephard, John, Lincoln Shephard, John, Shelby Shepherd, Aabraham, Mason Shepherd, Adam, Jefferson Shepherd, Adam, Nelson Shepherd, Benjamin, Jefferson Shepherd, Charles, Mason Shepherd, Christopher, Shelby Shepherd, Davis, Shelby Shepherd, James, Shelby Shepherd, James, Woodford Shepherd, John, Mason Shepherd, Martha, Shelby Shepherd, Samuel, Scott Shepherd, Thomas, Mason Shepherd, William, Mercer Shepherd, William, Woodford Shepherd, Zenan, Scott Shepherf, John, Nelson Sheppard, George, Mason The 1810 Census of Lewis Co, KY pg 99 lists: Solomn Shepherd - Males- 4(<10), 1(16-26), 1(45 & over) Females 2(<10), 3(10-16), 1(45&over). William Shepherd - Males- 2(<10), 2(10-16), 1(26-45) Females 2(<10), 2(10-16), 1(45&over). John Bell - Males - 1(16-26) Females 3(<10), 1(16-26) We believe that Solomon & William are probably brothers and John Bell is Solomons Son-in-law who married Polly Shepherd April 5, 1806 Bond Date Mar 31, 1806. Don't know if this helps out much - let me know I'm digging near the end! Cheers, Mark Shepherd
