I have both books and submitted my family history for the second book. I had worked very hard to make it as accurate as possible as many false statement had come down over the years. Who ever edited the book chose to cut my history alot. They left out children and I'm not sure the reader could keep tract. also chose to include a history from the first book that gave many of the false statements that I had worked so hard to correct. I know how terribly hard it is to put a book like that together as I have worked on one myself but I know I felt like my time was wasted submitting a history as well as the $49 for the book. 3. Well, regardless of how accurate it is, I can't afford the two volumes at $150 Canadian. Therefore, could someone tell me what it says about Maddox and Brandenburg? I've been looking for the father of my William b. 1805 for 30 years. He married Nancy Brandenburg in Lewis County. There was a John & Elizabeth Maddox there who died in 1826 who I have suspected was William's father, but he died suddenly without a will. So, does the book mention any of these? If so, what? Thanks, someone out there. Katheryn Maddox Haddad

    3. Hi, It was good to hear from you. Yes the book was a mess. The history they printed from the last book was a Doyle history with much of Gus's tall tales. Both books were just histories that people like me send in. I was really sick about the way they butched the history I sent in it made me wonder what they did to other histories. I 've been meaning to write. Mom wanted me to thank you for the letter you sent. She really enjoyed it. With her eye sight it is impossible for her to do any writing. We were up to Blair to see mom on the 18th of July for her 85th birthday. We all had a great day. We are leaving Thursday for PA to attend my son's wedding. We'll come back on the 9th. We have been enjoying the sweet corn from our patch. I have been so hungrey for a bacon and tomaoe sandwich but those green tomatoes just won't turn red. Hope all is well with you.
