Dear Subscribers to the Lewis and Greenup Counties, Kentucky Mailing List, This is the sixth and final message (in this series) regarding the Union Army's Twenty-second Regiment of Kentucky Volunteer Infantry, which was composed of a good number of men of Greenup and Lewis Counties. In summary, the two campaigns that "our" Regiment paricipated in were the Cumberland Gap and the Vicksburg Campaigns. Both of those campaigns had victorious outcomes for the Cause of the Union.
