    3. Hi, Barb, I don't believe we've corresponded before. I'm getting old so my memory is not the best : ) . My Koch is Andrew A. Koch, born in Hamburg, Germany, came to US ca. 1854 (I have documentation that he was working in Cincinnati in 1854 as an apprentice; he would have been about 19 years old). He was b. ca. 1835. ENlisted in Union army in 1865 and served about 6 months. Received a pension in 1891. After the Civil War Andrew lived in Lewis Co. Ky, where he married Christine Plummer and had 3 children with her. She apparently died after 1870 because in the 1880 census she is not listed and Andrew's mother, Mary, age 70, lives with him and the children. If this sounds familiar, let me know. This is all the information I have on Andrew. Janet >>> busyb@iserv.net 03/05/02 08:09PM >>> Janet, I'm not sure if we have spoken before but I'm related to the Cox Family who at one time spelled their name cocke, cock, koch.I had a couple of Andrew Cock/koch. Mine ended up in Ky. but pretty much came from Va. and North Carolina. I'm interested in finding out if there is an Andrew COOK/KOCH listed on that census. He would be about 65 years old and probably lived at a place called Randville. Thanks in advance. 3. There might be some connection somewhere but I don't know where. I have corresponded with someone else who traves our ancestry back to Reuben Koch who came over here from Germany but I as yet haven't found that connection to my Great Great Grandpa . I traced back to John Cock who married Mary Elizabeth Goad.
