Hello Barbara and June, My husband's Davis family married into the Applegate family as follows: Jesse James Applegate born May 28, 1892 in Happy Hollow, Lewis county, married Pearl Lee Davis born Feb 11, 1889 in Nashtown, Lewis county on Aug 5, 1910 (don't know the place). Jesse was the son of Paris Brown Applegate and Phoebe Ellen Sexton. Paris was born Sept 8, 1867 in Happy Hollow and was the son of Benjamin Applegate and Sarah Arland. Benjamin was born Jan 26, 1841, where unknown. Benjamin was the son of Jacob Applegate and Amanda Brooks. Jacob was born Jan 17, 1805 and was the son of Benjamin Applegate and Hannah Peters. Benjamin was born April 25, 1774 in Berkeley county, Virginia and was the son of Jacob Henry Applegate and Mary Prudence Wallingford. Jacob was born in 1746 and was the son of Daniel Applegate and Elizabeth Hulett. If anyone has connections to this family, please contact me!
