I am the granddaughter of Dial D. and Cordelia (BOTKIN) LYKINS of Petersville and Oliver Darius and Bertha Lee (HICKLE) KILGORE of Vanceburg. I'm searching for these and other families from whom I'm descended and I will gladly share information with anyone who is also searching these names. BODKIN/BOTKIN, especially John and Delilah who are buried in Thorpe Cemetery near Petersville and their son, George Washington BOTKIN who married Sarah Ellen MARK, the daughter of Samuel G. MARK and Roxey Jane PURNELL of Fleming County. Roxey Jane MARK moved to Vanceburg after her husband died in 1863. She died in Vanceburg in 1866 (where is she buried?) and her three orphaned children were raised by their grandparents, Madison and Sallie PURNELL, at Mt. Carmel. Samuel MARK's father was Elijah MARK, a well-known gunsmith who lived near Mt. Carmel in Fleming County. FETTERS, Henry and his wife, Priscilla (HUFFMAN), lived on Crooked Creek and are buried in East Fork Cemetery at Sand Hill. Their daughter, Hannah, married William REDMAN. HICKLE, especially Mart and Minerva (LILES) who lived at Quick's Run and who are buried in Flinder's Cemetery. KILGORE, especially Oliver (1853-1933) who married Malinda REDMAN. I know very little about Oliver and Malinda, so any information about them will be appreciated. Their son, Oliver Darius KILGORE (1878-1966), was my grandfather. LYKINS, Peter D. and his wife Evaline STACY, and their his son Mason (died at Petersville in 1917) who married Arminta PLUMMER. LILES, John (ca. 1827- 1905) married Mary Jane GROGAN and lived at Quick's Run. They are probably buried in Flinder's Cemetery. PLUMMER, Lewis and Harriett (RILEY) and their daughter, Arminta, who married Mason LYKINS. My Lewis Plummer was NOT the Lewis Plummer who was the jailer for Lewis County for many years. To avoid confusion, my Lewis might have used the name James L. Plummer in his later years in Vanceburg. REDMAN, William (1836-1916) who lived near Concord and married Hannah FETTERS in 1853. I need and will share information about these people, and I would also love to find photographs of any of them. I only have pictures of my grandparents and of Peter D. and Evaline LYKINS and of G.W. and Sarah Ellen BOTKIN. Can anyone help? Anna Lykins Welch Farmington, New Mexico
