Very interesting..My family also migrated west (to Calif.) from Portsmouth,(Scioto Co.) OH and Lewis Co. Ky..In the 1920's... One minor correction tho, for the sake of historical accuracy Occidental college is actually in Eagle Rock, CA -a part of Los Angeles. Not Pasadena...I grew up in Eagle Rock and our High School graduation ceremony was held at Occidental College. PS: do you happen to know any McAfee's or Miller's?? Those were my grandparent's lines..
