Yes....the cemetery is transcribed and that is the record that I have. It is called Lewis County Cemeteries.....by Sue Wood. I purchased my copy from the Lewis County Historical Society in Vanceburg, KY. I checked the listings for Mt. Tabor by Comfort.......but found none. She may not have a marker there. Sorry I couldn't help. Lin
In regards to: "I have Mt. Tabor records........what is the surname?" She was Comfort Jackson. She married a Mason, but after he died she remarried and I don't know who she married, so I don't know the last name. I walked the cemetery looking for the first name and found nothing. If the cemetery is transcribed, I'd like to buy a copy of the transcription from someone to comb through, as I have other relatives in Lewis Co. I'm looking for. Hermon Fagley does "NOT" send attachments. Rootsweb.com does "NOT" distribute attachments. Even the wording rootsweb.com uses in it's DIGEST form is not a true attachment. Yesterday,www.mcafee.com 'clinic seemed to download a new version of it's Virus Shield to member Hermon Fagley's computer. This am www.mcafee.com's clinic's on-line virus scan showed his computer was, then, infected with DUNpws.av trojan virus. I don't think Hermon Fagley has opened any attachment since his last infection, nor since his last scan. However, family members also receive Email on this computer, and though warned not to open attachments, have been known to have deaf ears to Hermon Fagley. Still, UNPLUG,and UNJACK in Thunder Storms is a must! Power surges destroy computers and modems. [And also the chips scattered thru your home, like your oven controls, your TV,your stereo, your furnace controls Hermon Fagley was on-line since Dec.23,1991 til 2 weeks ago with no virus infection thru good management. DUNpws.av trojan joins INETD and a 3rd in 2 weeks.

Where was Derret's Station [in old Mason Co,Ky likely]? 2nd,I'm finding only 1 issue of Mason Co Marriages reprinted ,in serial form,in "Ky Ancestors". Did Rev Wm Burk[e],METHODIST, preach in Mason Co? Preform 1798 marriages in Mason Co,Ky? Burk S. says in his family record and I quote: "Elizabeth Pollard Simmons my mother emigrated with her parents from Hoopers Island in the State of Maryland when in her 9th or 10th year to the wilds of Kentucky." [Via Pittsburg and Maysville, one man shot on the float, and they first lived at Derrets Station] She was born 1780 so the float was 1789 or 1790. She married Leonard Simmons in 1798 in Mason County. Seems likely that they first met in Mason County. Somewhere I saw something suggesting Pollards first came to New England area and then one branch or several brothers went on down the coast at one point to Hoopers area. I very seldom send attachments. It's been months since my last. But I got an attachment saying the file within was corrupted. I had just the evening before renewed my annual www.McAfee.com virus clinic subscription-so recently I could not yet get it to scan. But I got a warning similar to this from PARKER-L about a corrupted file attachment virus, and so scanned yesterday with the on-line,oir most up-to-date version of www.mcafee.com virus dection software, and found, for the 1st time ever, that I was infected with 'kern.exe" and inetd.exe viruses. [I have received other EMAIL worm viruses, but deleted them before infection. I guess saving any attachment considered to a floppie, and scanning it,is the answer. ZIFF-NET-the computer magazine people say one no longer has to be a hacker to create an EMAIL worm virus. They say a 6 year old can do it with current virus forming software. Scary. Anyway ,delete, without opening, any EMAIL attachments from HFAGLEY@aol.com and hermfagley@juno.com and UNPLUG and UNJACK in thunderstorms. A free virus scan can be had at www.mcafee.com. Personally, I think as fast as viruses are being made, that on-line scans for the very latest viruses are the way to go.

Hi: Below is the information I have on the Morgan Casebolt tie. I just found a James Long who married a Mary Casebolt in Galopolis, OH and lived in Lawrence Cnty, OH and in 1900 a Jacob Morgan, uncle, was living with him. This is all I have. From what I have now found and since the Morgans were in Mason, Lewis, Greenup and Boyd county, KY and Jacob ( in whose home one of the Mason County Morgans was married) was in Boyd and Lawrence I think there is a connection that is locational and family between the Longs, Morgans and Casebolts.
