This obit appeared in today's Mesa AZ newspaper: Saturday, November 11, 2006 East Valley Tribune Mesa, Arizona Pete Combs Pete Combs, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away November 8, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred of 60 years, son David (Jacque), daughter Jessica (deceased) and 6 grandchildren. Stacy Dawn (Bob), Todd (Cindy), Stacy Lea (Chris), Leslie (Kris), Robert, Keri (Rudy) and 16 great grandchildren. One brother Lee, two sisters and one brother (deceased), mother Malinda (deceased), four nieces, Billy Joe, Linda, Caroline and Portia. He was born in Stormking, Kentucky, January 2, 1925. He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army before moving to Mesa, Arizona in 1970. He worked for Maricopa County till he retired in 1987. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held Monday, November 13, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa, AZ. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses.
