The 1955 Death Certs are now available on microfilm at the Ky Historical Society in Frankfort, KY. I go about once a month if you need one from 1911 to 1955. Email me privately. An order form can be downloaded at http://chfs.ky.gov/dph/vital/deathcert.htm (click on the "Download Death Certificate Application" link on the righthand side). However, since the death took place before 1955, you can get a third party individual to make a photocopy of it from microfilm for you. Go to http://www.kygenweb.net/vitals/index.html and scroll down about half-way to "Did you find a death certificate between 1911-1954 you would like a copy of?" and there is a list of people who will make copies for you from $1 to $3 each. You will need to give them the information you found at the Vital Records site. The only person I've used before is Chester Ward, but I'm sure any of them will do fine. Brian K. Caudill
