JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JOSIE WHITAKER FROM DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 2/19/07 Josie Blair Whitaker, Age 92, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away February 17, 2007. Josie was born in Carbon Glow, KY on January 16, 1915, to the late Grant B. and Sara F. (Hampton) Blair. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Regular Baptist Church in Blackey, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Whitaker, Sr., (1971); her son Elmer Whitaker, Jr.; 6 brothers, Mander, Emmett, Byrd, Virgil, Lawrence, and Arnold Blair; and her sister, Doshie Littleton. She is survived by 2 sons, Billy R. (Betty) Whitaker of Miamisburg, OH and Joe (Janice) Whitaker of Sebring, FL; her daughter, Cora Sue (Paul) Caudill of Miamisburg, OH; 9 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle Blair of Jeremiah, KY. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. February 20, 2007 at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, OH, where the Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. February 21, 2007 with Pastor Elwoo! d Cornett and Pastor Jim T. Caudill officiating. A Graveside Committal Service will follow at Springboro Cemetery with Pastor Boyd Carmack officiating.
