Looking for any information or connections to my line of Gipson/Gibsons that may be related to the Gibson/Gipson families in this area. My George Gibson was born in 1765 and was living in Louisa county VA at the time he was 15 and first entered the military. After that he shows up in Spartanburg SC and then in the Todd/ Christian county area of Western KY.He had a brother named Henry and the father listed for him was John. His wife was Abigail ? listed as being from SC. If anyone has information or ideas please let me know, any information on this line would be greatly appreciated. Also there is some type of mixing within our line, we suspect they may be of the Melungeon set but cannot seem to find out much about these folks.
