I have the marriage certificate of a son named James Wesley Kiger who was born in 1868. On the marriage cert ( February 06, 1893) he marries a emma may and states that his father (james Kiger) was born in Robertson county tn and his mother (rebecca prewitt) was born in Letcher co, KY. James Kiger was born in Robertson co, TN in 1843 and rebecca in 1847 Would love to be able to find any documents on this union...The earliest i show them together are in the 1870 lawrence co ky census along with their son John wesley who was 2 and the younger brother of James, Samuel Thomas Kiger.

I hope that someone can help me. My GGgandfather Isom Riddle was buried in the Pratt Cemetary in Letcher County Kentucky. At one point I located a list of who was buried in that cemetary but since have been unable to locate the site again. At the time I found it I was not aware of what Isom Riddles first wife's name was and now I need to know if she was buried there with him in Letcher or if she died before he left Wise Virginia. I am trying to determine what her maiden name was. I know his second wife was Susanna Wilson but all that I have on his first wife and my grandmother is that her name was Sarah ?. If anyone could help me I would truly appreciate it. I am also hoping that if she is buried there perhaps it could be her families cemetary and I can research other interments and determine what her maiden name was. Jen
