She married George M. Adams, on 18 July 1900. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Adams, in June 1936, and her son, Joe Fairchild Adams, in Jan 1871. Surviving are 03 daughters, Elsie Niece, Chesney Combs, and Corinne Clay; 01 son, Hugh Adams. She was Tax Commisioner of Letcher County for 07 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She is buried in the Sandlick Cemetery, Whitesburg, Kentucky.
