''Gene'' BANKS, age 72, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 3:14 a.m. at his residence. He was born May 11, 1934 in Whitesburg, Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1954. He was a crane leader in east processing at Armco Steel retiring in 1993 after 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents, Viron and Anna Mae (Walley) Banks; 1 brother, James Banks. He is survived by wife of 51 years, Gracie; 2 sons, James C. Banks, wife Karen - Hunter, Ohio, Joseph E. Banks, wife Betty - West Chester, Ohio; 1 grandson, Jordan P. Banks. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Art Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
