My Mother was a Sturgill, her sister Opal Sturgill married Cecil Johnson, a descendant of James Johnson and Annie Sturgill. Opal is a descendant of Annie Sturgill's brother Samuel Sturgill. Sorry not to be any help. I see your last name is Johnson, have you ever thought about getting your DNA tested?
