The Advertiser-Tribune Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Sunday, April 30, 2006 The Advertiser-Tribune Estis 'Luke' Lucas Estis "Luke" Lucas, 79, of 223 S. Sandusky St., Tiffin, died at 11 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. Estis was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Whitesburg, Ky., to the late Nahmon and Sadie (Stedim) Lucas. On July 31, 1954, he married Sylvania Halcomb and have enjoyed over 52 years together. Other survivors include one son, Robert B. Lucas; brother, Elbert "Bud" Lucas; and a sister, Mae Miller both of Middletown. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His parents; three brothers, Earnest, Eli and Ed; two sons, Estis Junior and Donnie preceded him in death. Estis retired from Webster Manufacturing Company in 1988 after 22 years of service. He was also a locksmith, owned and operated Lukes Lock Shop on South Sandusky Street for several years until his health began to fail him. He was a member for the Eighth Ave. Freewill Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed life and his family and friends very much. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin with the Rev. Clifford Tyree officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m -12 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
