JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON FESS O. BLAIR FROM DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 12/3/06. Fess O. Blair, 80, of St. Paris, OH, passed away November 30, 2006 at the VA Medical Center Hospice Unit. Mr. Blair was born in Blackey, KY on December 1, 1925 to the late Sol & Nora (Caudill) Blair. He was a Baptist Minister that has served many churches for more than 40 years. Mr. Blair served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, twice receiving the Purple Heart award. Preceded in death by his brother, Rex Blair. Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary (Watts) Blair; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Sandy Day, Lynn & Patrick Braden; 3 sons & daughters- in-law, Roy & Linda Blair, Owen Blair, Ronald & Dawn Blair; 9 grandchildren & numerous great grandchildren; sister, Estelle Day; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, James & Aileen Blair, Leon & Jeri Blair; numerous nieces, nephews & many friends. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. December 5, 2006 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Interment Dayton National Cemete! ry.
