The following 5 photos (mostly tintypes) are up for auction: George Hogg, Susan Ison, Easter Caudill, Margaret Caudill and Davy Back. They are all supposed to be from Letcher County. Can anyone identify exactly who these people are and what particular family they belong to? Name Elijah, age 7, b. KY. 1900 Franklin County Kentucky Census, Kentucky State Penitentiary, District 69, P. 13A. Name Elijah Wright, age 32, birth May 1868, b. KY, 2nd Marriage, married 18 years, prisoner. 1920 Goochland County Virginia Census, Virginia State Farm Prison, District 22, P. 12B. Name Elijah Wright, age 58, b. KY, inmate. A good article about Elijah Wright is found on this web site: http://www.geocities.com/nancybays/badlige.htm Patty Brashear of the above website also sent me a copy of a newspaper article anouncing the death of Elijah Wright 9 Mar 1931 in Pike KY. I have some notes passed on to me by Thacker family about the marriage of Eliza Thacker to Elijah Wright. I have a copy of a court record in Wise County VA dealing with the heirs of Robert Thacker, one of which is listed as Eliza (Thacker) Wright, resident of the state of Kentucky. Confirming the fact that Eliza Thacker did marry a Wright. I have no details on the relationship of Eliza Thacker and Elijah Wright. I do not know if they had children, how long their marriage lasted, nor anything. Kind of hit a dead end on the relationship. My research on this has come from the Thacker side. I am not really a Wright researcher outside of where they have connected to my lines.

I am trying to find the ancestors of my 3rd Great Grandparents and their relatives. They were Martha Priscilla BRAKE and Reverend William W. WYNN. This is what I do know about this couple and their descendants. Reverend William W. WYNN was born about 1817 in Tennessee. He married Martha Priscilla BRAKE who was born in August, 1821, in Trigg County, Kentucky. She died 30 December 1905 . William died on 26 April 1897. The couple had at least 2 children: 1. Nannie Catherine “Katie” WYNN 2. William B. WYNN According to the 1880 census, both of William’s parents were born in Tennessee. Both the 1880 and 1900 censuses state that both of Martha’s parents were also born in Tennessee. William W. WYNN, wife Priscilla and son William B. were enumerated on the 1880 Census in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky. Martha was living with her daughter Katie and her husband C.C. BORAH in Cromwell, Ohio County, Kentucky in the 1900 Census. Cromwell was my mother’s birthplace. Although I may not have the family specifically located in this county, I know from Kentucky birth and death indices that several members of either family have resided here. My Wynn family seems to have been on the move a lot. Thank you in advance for any help. My e-mail address is pigfish9@swbell.net. Debbie Kaelin
