(Quillen was her maiden name.) She lived in what was then Baker, in Letcher county, just above what is now Neon. She had a child sometime in 1899. I am especially interested in any information on this child. Was the child a boy or girl? Who was the child's father? How long did the child live and what became of the child? Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

An order form can be downloaded at http://chfs.ky.gov/dph/vital/deathcert.htm (click on the "Download Death Certificate Application" link on the righthand side). However, since the death took place before 1955, you can get a third party individual to make a photocopy of it from microfilm for you. Go to http://www.kygenweb.net/vitals/index.html and scroll down about half-way to "Did you find a death certificate between 1911-1954 you would like a copy of?" and there is a list of people who will make copies for you from $1 to $3 each. You will need to give them the information you found at the Vital Records site. The only person I've used before is Chester Ward, but I'm sure any of them will do fine. Brian K. Cost would be a dollar plus a self-addressed envelope from several on line sources. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FBB.2ACE/961 Message Board Post: I have had some requests for copies of the book John Pigman and His Descendants I have just looked into it and the most economical way would be to have them copied in volume. If they are copied in volume the cost for the copies, the binding, tax, and the shipping will come to $50/book. Individually they would cost about $65. If you are interested in getting a copy of this book made please e-mail me. When I have at least 5 people interested and willing to send the funds I will order the books. Because of the cost of copying the book I will have to have the money before I get them copied and mailed. The turn around at the copy store is about 24 hours and they can ship them from there so in about a week after I get five orders you should have your book. If you are willing to pay the extra for an individual copy I can do that too. It is definitely cheaper to do these in a volume of 5 books or more. If you are interested e-mail me at chp_hays@yahoo.com and we will discuss the details. Sincerely, Curtis Hays Pigman

Therefore, you would need to know which county in KY they married in. Once you know which county and the approx. timeframe, you could contact the Court Clerk of that particular county to see what the cost would be for them to locate it and copy it and send it to you. Samuel Osborn and wife Mahala, with children, Sarah, Wesly, Mary, James and William. They later add Nancy, Elizabeth and Taylor and maybe one other male (Joshua).
