Everyone referred to him by Wade. He worked in the engineering department of a coal company. He would have been in his 50's and did live at McRoberts and Neon for most of his life. He did pass away several years ago from an illness, not an accident. I didn't know him that well, but he always seemed like a real nice guy. Hope this might help you. I'm not sure this is the correct man, but it does sound like it might be.

"Bud" Phillips.Your line seems to come from the Jim "Panther Jim" Maggard line. There are several Lewis families listed there and your line very possibly may have come from John J and Clerinda Kelly Lewis. John's parents were Wilson and Catherine Collier Lewis. Wilson was son of John J and Elizabeth Morgan Lewis. They were said to have come from Greenbrier County, West Virginia.If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this book, you can contact Heritage Nook Books, P O Box 373, Pound, VA 24279. That showed me were she was buried went to Kentucky last summer and there in the middle of 3 family named headstone was a little stone that said Grandma. So you might want to try that if you have not, yet. Good luck.

Moore Ida Mae Moore, 77, of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004. Ida was born in Letcher County, Ky., on Oct. 18, 1926, to the late Greeley and Elizabeth “Lizzy” (Howard) Young. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Historical Society of Germantown, 4-F, St. John’s Senior Group, and a charter member of the Germantown Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle L. Moore (1983); an infant daughter Donna (1951); and her brother Cecil Young (2003). She is survived by her son, Douglas (Connie) Moore, and her grandson, Russell “Rusty” Moore, all of Medway; three sisters, Pearl Anglin of Leesburg, Ga., Ruby Bailey of Charlotte, Mich., and Sylvia Rininger of Richmond, Ky. ARRANGEMENTS: Services are private for the family, with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis. Dalton Funeral Home in Germantown is serving the family.
