Their daughter Mary Hall was my great grandmother. My great grandfather was Wilson Hall. My grandfather was Mckindley hall married to Betsy Castle Hall.Is this the same family? I also have found so much comflicting info. Would like to get things right. My mother is also looking for the burial place of her sister Betty Joe Hall who died in Weeksbury on July 27, 1937. Thanks

    3. Hello Everyone: My ggg grandparents, Greenberry and Celthany Thomas were buried in a cemetery located at Mallet Fork located off Highway 160 on the road to Pinetop in Knott County, Kentucky. A cousin suggested that I ask the Letcher County list if they know the name of this cemetery? In Christ, Ron Powell

    3. Does anyone know of a school in Letcher co.,ky. called Sycamore? It was at Jeremiah,near Dixon Memorial Church.It Was made of cinder block and was built because the old school burnt down. My Grandmother's home served as a cafeteria too. There was a teacher name of Pridemore.This would of been in the early 60's.

My late grandfather Jim Cornett remembered him possibly coming from Letcher County, but I'm having trouble finding him anywhere before 1886. He died in Jackson County in 1933. According to the 1900 Perry County Census, Frank was born about 1857. The 1st record I can find for him is the Perry County marriage record when he married Susan Cornett in April 1886. Cornett was her maiden name and I've found plenty about her family, but not his. She died about 1901 and Frank then married Susan Shepherd who was born in Perry County in 1878. I descend from Susan Shepherd, so the Susan Cornett charts really don't help me! If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciaate them! Scott Fischer
