So I will try again. Yes I think he is the same person. My father very seldom talked about the past and we never met any of his family. I remember him talking to mom about Nancy and about a Will O Bentley. He had a brother that lived in Sweet home Oregan. Not sure if that was his brother Ben or Ira Bentley. I also remember getting a letter from there that said the brother had passed away. My father talked about being married several times. My mom and dad were married 25 years. He died in 1965. I will send a picture by regular email. Was will O the only child? I think I have a half sister named Rebecca Bentley. I saw a picture of her when I was a kid (don't know what happened to it or her). If this is the same James Bentley. Then I guess Will O is my half brother. How old is he and is he still living. I live in Northern Kentucky Now. We lived in Perry county on a farm when I was growing up. I would love to know more about my dad's side of the family.

    1. Finding Cemeteries in Letcher County
    2. Here is a great website to show on a map where quite a few cemeteries in Leteher County are (or for other states and counties). Once you get to the webpage, under "State or Territory", choose "Kentucky". Then choose "Letcher" in the drop-down list for "County Name". Use the drop down list under "Feature Type" to choose "cemetery". Then hit the "Send Query" button and the Letcher County Cemeteries will be listed. There's various ways to look at them. Just click on the cemetery you are interested in. If you then choose the "Topo Zone" selection, it will show the location of the cemetery on a topographic map. Make sure you change the map size to "Large". You can look at the various other map types there to see which best meets your needs. The aerial photography one is interesting, but I find that it is hard to use, and you really have to know the roads and buildings to know what you are looking at, and then move around. Anyway, for those of you who are looking for cemeteries this is a great resource. Here is the website for that link: http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form Have fun hunting!! 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FBB.2ACE/806.1 Message Board Post: I do not have the entire record but I do have a partial index of Letcher Co marriages that I copied the last time I was at the KY Archives. There is a Jesse Taylor and Alice Sexton listed. The date is 1910 Volume 15 page 376. If you write to Letcher Co Clerk (I have the address if needed), they will forward a copy to you for a nominal fee. One thing that you do need to consider is that many of the marriage records in Letcher Co didn't always record the parents names. Hope that this is of help to you.
