Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FBB.2ACE/728.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Rosemarie: I would really like to see a picture of England Craft. Several years ago I was in Whitesburg KY and took a picture of his grave marker. It was the name England that tied together my research. My father had a brother I knew as "Jack" but in a census search I found his name was really England. Then I found a Malinda Craft with a brother named England. And so it goes. I really don't know much about the Craft family, but I do have the book "A Family Called Craft". Unfortunately, it only names my Grandmother, Malinda, and her birth date. She is not even mentioned after that. This is what I know about her: Born: July 1888 Whitesburg, Ky Died: May 14, 1925 (I do not have a death certifcate for her yet) the death date comes from my grandfather's obituary. Married Henry Fields May 3, 1905 I believe she may have had eight children. Some of them died as children. I do have some dates if you are interested. My father was her 2nd oldest--Watson Fields. He had several families. I am from what I beleive is his second family. I would really like any information you could share. I can look up names in the book I have if that helps you at all. I know nothing at all of the Prichard family. Thanks for the reply. Pat

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FBB.2ACE/735.3.1 Message Board Post: Gail, James was black according to census records. Martha was white. I think there was native American lineage to some extent on both sides of the family. James was born in 1858. Martha was born in 1855. Martha's mother was Polly Wooten. She was a deaf mute and had Sarah, Daniel and Martha. I don't think she was ever married and lived with James and Martha before her death. Martha and James had 11 children as far as I know. Georgia (1883), Mary (1884), Buddy (1886), Mallie (1889), Orbitt (1890), Daniel (1892), John (born 12/26/1893 - died 10/1978), Ambrose (1896), Willow (1898), Nelson (born 5/2/1899 - died 12/28/1980), Embory or Emory (1903). Nelson was my Grandfather. He married Dicey Francis. They had eleven children and lived in Leslie County, Dickenson County Virginia and eventually settled in Letcher County. I have more records, but haven't had a chance to get them all together. However, I will do that soon and will be happy to send them to you as I can find th! em. How are you related to the Salyers family?
