    1. [KYLESLIE] Cemetery on Jack's Creek
    2. I was recently talking to one of my husband's relatives, Marie Vallance Sizemore, and she filled me in on who is buried in the small Roark Cemetery located right above Taylor Roark's home on the mountainside. Taylor's home is right next to where the Jack's Creek Elementary School used to be. Buried in this cemetery is: Betty Roark Slusher Vallance Fee Sizemore and her sister, Mary Roark Slusher. They are both daughters of James "Crap" Roark, who is also buried there. Also buried there are Roscoe Fee, Margaret and Berry Slusher, Martha Slusher Baker Montgomery, daughter of the above mentioned Betty. Also: Lloyd Roark and wife Molly, D.S. Roark, Buford Hoskins, Golden Roark, Charlie Roark, Lucy Roark, John Roark, another Lucy Roark, Frank Slusher, Darus Slusher, Carlo Roberts, and a number of young children, some without head stones. There may be a few more graves there that she couldn't remember. Approximately one mile up the Jack's Creek road and just a little further up the road from Taylor Roark's home is Raymond and Edna Roark's home. On the hillside above their house is another small Roark cemetery. Found here are: Leonard Roark (son of James "Crap" Roark and wife, Martha Collett) and Leonard's wife, Ruth Collett Roark. Leonard was born September 6, 1896, d. November 9, 1940, and Ruth was born July 23, 1901, d. May 1995. Also there : a stillborn child of Leonard and Ruth's, Leonard and Ruth's oldest son, Herman Roark (b. May 4, 1917, d. May 17, 1971), and a stillborn son of Jeffrey and Sharon (Hacker) Roark.
