Does anyone know who were the parents of Anse (Anderson) Couch, father of John Couch married to Sally Shepherd? My grandfather was the son of Tom Couch/Mary Ann Harris. My grandfather James (Jim) Couch was one of the Couches interveiwed from 1952-1955 in Leonard Roberts Book, "Up Cutshin Down Greasy, Folkways of a Kentucky Mountain Family.
