Although James Brock Gross was always found in census and other documents as James B. Gross family members always referred to him as Brock Gross. He was married three times, first marriage was to a Mary, I believe her surname was Brock but I have no verification of it, that marriage ended in divorce. His 2nd marriage was to Nancy Brock, I have no idea who her parents were. As you noted previously, they had 3 children together. Nancy died shortly after their 3rd child Henry was born. He married 3rd Margaret "Peggy" Smith, daughter of Jonathan Smith. James Brock Gross and Peggy Smith had one daughter together, Mary, she married Isaiah Wilson. ----- Original Message ----- From: Melva Pearce To: kyleslie@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, January 13, 2007 8:34 PM Subject: Re: [KYLESLIE] Roll Call - GROSS I Matison's parents listed as you have but was afraid I might have messed up with BROCK being in both parents name.
