Colonel Barger 1932-2007 (http://www.legacy.com/louisville/Guestbook.asp?Page=GuestBook&PersonID=89242447) BARGER, COLONEL, 74, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Barger was born in Perry County, KY on December 12, 1932, the son of the late Joe and Ica (Elgin) Barger. He was an active member of Grace Covenant Church of God in Austin, IN. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Amerida Barger and Lester Little. Survivors include daughters, Mary Little, of Commiskey, IN and Viola Little of Commiskey; son, Bruce Barger, of West Chester, OH; Sisters, Lilly Garcia, of Louisville, KY, Viola Couch, of Austin, IN, Sally Rawlings, of Burning Springs, KY and Marinda Dean, of Seymour; brothers, Floyd Barger, of Crothersville, IN, Joe Barger, of Scottsburg, IN, Lester W. Barger of Seymour and Jesse Barger of Austin, IN; Special friend, Sylvia Decker, of Austin, IN; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Grace Covenant Church of God, Austin, IN, with Rev. Steve Gwaltney and Rev. David Simpson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 19 June, 2007, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 20 June, 2007, 9 a.m.-noon at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, IN. Military Graveside service will be conducted by Crothersville VFW Post 1083. Memorials can be made to Compassionate Circle Church of God in care of the funeral home.
