FOLKS, This is another descent of James Lewis II -1771NC-1865KY & Sarah (Sally) Couch 1773NC-1864KY , down thru his son MARTIN LEWIS born 23 November 1794 on New River, Ashe Co., NC and who left KY for Indiana and his 2nd wife, Drusilla Dent born abt. 1814 - died 1908 Boone Co., Indiana. Among the children was a son: Wm. Lankston LEWIS born 1836 Boone Co., Indiana whom married and lived and died in 1904 at Coyville, Wilson Co., Kansas. Among his children was; Maud Amy Lewis born Dec. 1879 in Coyville and died as Maud Amy Lewis CASE, in April 1960 Caldwell, Idaho. To Maud was born - among her children: ELVA Mae Case Nov. 1910 in Coyville, Kansas - deceased Dec. 1993 Pacola, OK. Elizabeth (Beth) born on Sept. 9, 1932 was daughter of ELVA Mae and Harold Hubert Graber. Elizabeth (Beth) has now deceased in August 2008 as the wife of Mr. Bert Spencer. Spencer will go offline soon, September 11, 2008. Beth Spencer, 75, of Homedale, went home to be with our dad Bert on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008. Graveside services held at noon Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. A Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Beth was born on Sept. 9, 1932, in Wilder to Harold and Elva (Case) Graber. She grew up on the family farm across the Snake River and was educated in Homedale. She met Bert Spencer in 1948 and they were married on Sept. 18, 1949, at the Homedale Nazarene Church. They then moved to Spanaway, Wash., and lived there for one and a half years. They returned to Homedale, Central Cove Area, in 1951. Beth worked at several nursing homes and at the Homedale Nursing Home until she retired in 1993. She moved to the senior citizen apartments in 2004 where she met her new friends and just had a ball. She was a member of the Homedale American Legion Auxiliary Post 32, as well as a member of the Homedale Senior Center. Mom's most loved pastime was dancing, making her rugs and sitting down with a good western book or movie. She is survived by her five children, Linda (Jim) Gammett of Homedale, Bill (Vickie) Spencer of Mountain Home, Ruth (Wayne) Sayler of Buffalo, Mo., Kathy (Fred) Fuller of Parma, Jim (Marion) Spencer of Cazadero, Calif.; one brother, Dave (Pat) Graber of Kent, Wash., one sister, Ramona (Bill) Jones of Pocola, Okla., one brother-in-law, John (Gale) Spencer of Homedale, two sisters-in-law, Berta Kandler of Dixie and Ada Connel of Homedale; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Lewis Spencer; he passed away in 1983, and her daughter, Golda Mae Spencer; she passed away in 1950, her father and mother, Harold and Elva (Case) Graber, one sister, Sharen Graber at age 14, and her best friend Harold (Pop) Keeton. Well, mom, when you get up there in Heaven, take dad's hand, have the best dance of all - cause you're together again.
