He was born at Jeff, Kentucky (near Hazard in Perry Co.,) the son of the late Amy Catherine McKinney. By occupation he was a former employee of the Power Company and also was a tobacco farmer. Mr Cecil Wells was affiliated with the Armstrong World Wide Church of God and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. Mr. Cecil Wells was preceded in death by his mother: Amy Catherine McKinney, Cecil leaves surviving the following relatives: first cousin: Willis Wells and wife Lula; second cousin:Rev. Danny Roberts. Cecil is also survived at the age of 83 years by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Wells held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday - September 7, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Roberts officiating.
