Mrs. Mollie Brown Howard was born on June 3, 1929 and departed this life on September 29, 2008 at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 26 days. Mollie was a life-long resident of Leslie County, the daughter of the late Frank Brown and the late Ella Jane Robinson Brown. By occupation she was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies included going to the Mozelle Church of God where she had been a member for 45 years, as well as being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Elmer Howard. Mrs. Mollie Brown Howard leaves surviving the following relatives: two sons: Dewey Wayne Howard & Tammy, and Dorphas Wade Howard both of Mozelle, KY; two daughters: Barbara Brock & Dennis of Hoskinston, KY, and Carol Howard & Marvin of Mozelle, KY; special friend: Lee Slusher; nine grandchildren; and ten grandchildren. She was also survived by a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Brown Howard will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Mozelle Church of God at Mozelle, KY with Rev. Geoffrey Roberts officiating. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the church. The following will serve as pallbearers for Mrs. Mollie Howard: Jason Brock, Dorphas Howard, Michael Howard, Craig Howard, Kevin Wilson, Travis Brock, and Adria Taylor.
