He was 62 years, 2 months, & 21 days old. C.L. was born at LeJunior , Ky., the son of the late Clyde L. Hill & Margaret Holbert Hill. C. L. Hill was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. C. L. Hill was a retired coal miner having been employed by Shamrock Coal Co. He was very active in civic affairs in Hyden & Leslie Co. C. L. was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, & coached Little League & Senior League baseball. C.L. was a member of the Bowens Creek United Baptist Church & had been a resident of Leslie Co. for the past 52 years, residing at 1851 Honeysuckle Lane at the time of his death. C. L. enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife collecting, all sports, & especially being with his grandchildren. Mr. Clyde Lester "C.L." Hill was preceded in death by his parents; Clyde L. Hill & Margaret Holbert Hill, & one brother: Don Hill. Mr. Clyde Lester "C.L." Hill leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving & devoted wife: Ruth Morgan Hill of Stinnett, KY., two daughters: Michelle Hill Wilson and husband, Wilfred, of Hyden, KY., Leslie Bridges & husband, Joe, of Oklahoma, one son: Lance Henshaw of Arizona, two step-sons: Tony Morgan and wife, Natasha, of Wooton, KY., Harold Callahan and wife, Shelia, of London, KY., two brothers: Jefferson Hill & wife, Helen of California, Ernest Hill and wife, Bessie, of Ashland, Ky., one sister, Janice Sizemore & husband, Eddie of Hyden, KY, seven grandchildren: Nicholas Clyde Wilson, Sam Morgan, Zachary Morgan, Ashley Callahan, Justin Bridges, Alyssa Bridges, Cody Joe Bridges, & a host of treasured nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral for Mr. Clyde Lester "C. L." Hill conducted at 1:00 - p.m. - Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church, Asher, KY., with Rev. Eugene Roberts, Rev. Roger Wolfe, & Pastor Steve Springer officiating. The interment will follow in the 'Albert Morgan Cemetery', Essie, KY., with full military rites observed by the Leslie Co. D.A.V. Chapter # 133. The following serve as pallbearers: Wayne Sizemore, Allen Sizemore, Jason Hill, Chris Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Brandon Morgan, Tony Morgan, Wilfred Wilson, Coy Asher, Bill Brock, & Harold Callahan.
