Thomas Pace (August 7, 1951 - April 25, 2008) The obituary of Mr. Thomas Pace Officiating Ministers: Mack Lewis and Doug Caldwell Mr. Thomas Pace born August 7, 1951 departed this life on April 25, 2008 at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 18 days old. He was born at Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late Ralph Pace and Dorothy Stidham Pace. By occupation he worked as a carpenter in the Construction Industry and was self-employed. Thomas was a member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Some of his hobbies included: hunting, fishing, gardening, crafts, knive collecting, being around his fish pond, grafting trees, working on animal hides, taxidermy but most of all being with his family especially his granddaughter: Breanna. He was preceded in death by his father: Ralph Pace, he leaves surviving the following relatives. Mother: Dorothy Pace of Hyden, KY., Wife: Magdalene Adams Pace of Hyden, KY., Two Sons: Thomas Lee Pace & Amberly Fleming of Hyden, KY., Kenny Ray Pace of Hyden, KY., One Daughter: Angela Marie Stratton of Hyden, KY., One Brother: Larry Keith pace & Ellen of Hyden, KY., Two Sisters: Kathy Lynn Mills of Hyden, KY., Sandra Maggard of Hyden, KY., One Special Granddaughter: Breanna Janelle Stratton of Hyden, KY., Also survived by a host of treasured nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Pace will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday - April 27, 2008 at the Hurts Creek Church of Christ at Hyden, Kentucky with Mack Lewis and Doug Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Grassy Gap Cemetery located at Hyden, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. Thanks for posting Thomas obit. I'm so sorry to hear this...I hadn't heard. His mother Dorothy and I grew up and spent many happy hours together on Hurrican Creek. The cemetery where Thomas is being buried is the one where my dad, my grandparents and lots of other relatives are laid to rest.
