Mr. Willie Paul Mosley was born June 25, 1925 departed this life on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital being 83 years, 9 months, and 20 days of age at his passing. Willie was born in Leslie County, Kentucky. The son of the late Lawrence Mosley and Minnie Smith Mosley. Willie was a resident of Combs, Kentucky, a coal miner by occupation, and a member of the Baptist Church. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Joy Sue Whitehead, and one son Johnny Mosley. Mr. Willie Paul Mosley leaves the following surviving relatives: wife Rachel Napier Mosley of Combs, KY; three sons: Alex Mosley & wife Joyce, Donnie Mosley, and Bill Mosley all of Combs, Kentucky; two daughters: Vernie Holland & husband Chester Ray of Combs, KY and Mary Williams & husband Jimmy of Sixteen Mile Creek, KY; one brother: Donnie Mosley of Big Creek, KY; two sisters: Ruby Herald and husband Irvin of Combs, KY and Essie White of London, KY; 6 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends survive. Funeral services for Mr. Willie Paul Mosley will be held at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home on East Main Street in Hazard, Kentucky on Friday April 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mosley family cemetery located at Combs, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
