Vetch was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation Vetch was a retired coal miner (shuttle-car driver), Vetch B. Asher was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict,(Purple Heart Recipient - sharp shooter), He was also a member of the Hyden Masonic Lodge # 664, and a member of the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter # 133, Vetch B. Asher had been a member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church at Wooton, KY. for 65 years, and a former Little League Coach. Vetch enjoyed being involved in the lives of his children & grandchildren , including fishing, fox hunting & gardening. Vetch B.
