McDonald was born at Hyden, Ky., the son of the late Adam Baker & Codey Howard. McDonald was employed as a former coal truck & school bus driver, & maintenance worker at Hayes Lewis Elementary School, Yeaddiss, KY. He was a member of the Big Fork Church of God, Yeaddiss, KY., & enjoyed sports & playing horseshoes as hobbies. McDonald was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at Coon Creek Rd., Cinda, KY., at the time of his death. Mr. McDonald Baker was preceded in death by his parents: Adam Baker & Codey Howard, one brother: Charles Baker, & one sister: Marcella Wooton. Mr. McDonald Baker leaves the following relatives surviving: One son: Mack Baker, Jr. & fiance Amber Couch of Leatherwood, KY., Two daughters: Mallie Ann Pennington and husband, Mark of Science Hill, KY., Lillian Codey Baker & Shane Denham of Somerset, KY., Five sisters: Stephanie Baker Adams & husband, Don of Hyden, KY., Wanda Baker Maggard of Yeaddiss, KY., Mallie Baker Maggard and husband James, of Wooton, KY., Virgie Baker Shepherd and husband Martin, of Corbin, KY., Mildred Baker Ritchie and special friend, James Phillips of Hazard, KY., four grandchildren: Brandon Pennington, Ashley Pennington, Dylan Baker, Kaitlyn Baker, & a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral for Mr. McDonald Baker conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at the Solid Rock Bible Chapel, Cinda, KY., with Rev. Chris Sale, Rev. Clemmie Joseph, & Rev. Larry Callahan officiating. The interment follow in the "Baker & Hensley Cemetery", Coon Creek, Wooton, KY. under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
