Allegedly both these "White" parents had been taken as hostages, and both had children born of Native American clan leaders. (Some like to say Chief's). In any event, GEORGE ALL and AGNES / AGGIE are held to this day in high esteem as pioneers of Kentucky. Even the story of how they met and married is very notable within the surname genealogy names of Southeastern Kentucky. Several of the well documented families of then Floyd, then Perry, then Leslie Counties, often passed down the same story of Origins of GEORGE ALL & AGNES / AGGIE. One particular family I know about that had early ties to Thomas Begley 1730's and later GEORGE ALL SIZEMORE (who himself related stories of his origins, when he lived on that muddy bottom land at now Hyden, KY) was the NAPIER family and its ancestry. There is a wealth of information about the NAPIER and SIZEMORE beginnings, and some who were early hostages of Native Americans. To my knowledge GEORGE ALL and wife AGNES/ AGGIE did not know how to write, but did convey knowledge handed down that is used in most researchers data, that came to them by contact of families and family reunions. Hope this helps some, but I want to believe our ancestors that continually passed down the story of GEORGE ALL & AGNES / AGGIE and how they met and married without a LAWYER or a COURT is really a true event in Kentucky history. I wish I could prove it. JOHN in CA **************New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines. (http://www.aol.com/?ncid=emlcntaolcom00000026)
