Yvonne Bowers. California, State Chairman of the PIONEER ROSTER has informed us of the following: "The Native Daughters of the Golden West (a fraternal organization founded in 1886 for women born in the state of California) began cataloguing pioneers born in or present in the state prior to 1870. The Roster has over 35,000 names. The Index has been recently updated; the first major update since 2002 cross-referencing duplicates and adding supplemental information." To access the INDEX for names of persons you may be doing research about, is found at this site: > _http://www.ndgw.org/PRosterIndex/rostermain.html_ (http://www.ndgw.org/PRosterIndex/rostermain.html) > > > There may be descents of Kentucky or VA, NC, or MO persons listed, but as your Listdad, beware it will cost you about $2.50 to see the "record details" of the microfilms. Perhaps the INDEX could confirm for you if such person you seek has been submitted as a Pioneer in California. Paul, do you have any info about John L. Boggs' sister Lelia who is married to Boone Caldwell? My g uncle Boone Caldwell has been dead for several years but he was also my Dale Caldwell Jr's uncle. Sadly, my Caldwell family didn't have family reunions like my Boggs family so I only got to meet some of the Caldwell cousins when I was a child and went to Leslie County KY with my grandmother. The Michael Caldwell I have is a son to Beulah Boggs Caldwell and Dale Caldwell Jr. I see a Michael Caldwell as one of the pallbearers for John L. Boggs.
