    1. [KYLESLIE] Lifetime event - "Morgan Reunion" of August 8, 2009
    2. Folks on the list, I want all of you to be aware that on 8 AUGUST 2009, a Saturday, a very special rededication of one of our most famous pioneers that so many of us descend down from, who resided on lands of Harlan County, KY whose descents still lie in the Hardy Bottom Cemetery, that in Leslie County a large concentration of persons will arrive for the "Morgan Reunion" of August 8, 2009. We MORGAN descents proudly will be doing a dedication of the "Zachariah Morgan 1776 VA- 1841 KY and wife Mary (Polly) Holt Morgan 1783 VA - 1855 KY memorial monument". I encourage all who can make travel plans for such a summer vacation, to make this visit to the 2009 MORGAN family Reunion, one of those unforgetable once in a lifetime events, that will bring so many families of Southeastern Kentucky a festival of great importance. In my recollection the last such unforgetable memorial event was the dedication monument to pioneer James T. Lewis and the memorial steps to Rev. Jesse Bowling. These were events saved on video tapes. Hopefully our Leslie County members will post any special events being planned for the 8 August 2009 Morgan memorial event, and give tips on where persons can make reservations to stay. Hopefully those who have never met our "Man of the Century" Former 3 time County Judge George Wooton will have that opportunity and also visit the Leslie County gravesites of JESSE Morgan 9 June 1804 VA - 23 May 1896 KY and wife REBECCA Howard Morgan 1805 KY-1881 KY, d/o Adrion Howard 1783 & Hannah Lewis 1785. I will try and remind our list of this special event in late July 2009.
