Please help spread the word. The project administrator is Bill Couch and you can find results at his page http://www.couchgenweb.com/ and following the link there. It's being done by Family Search DNA and Univ. of Arizona, a reputable organization. We are very much in need of results from KY Couch families so if you could help spread the word, that would be great! I'm at a brick wall on my line and so far, no matches out of what appears to be two main groups of Couch by dna. I've recently started my own website where you can find what I have so far, url below. I do have a picture somewhere of my grandfather Caddie Lewis who would have been your grandmother's brother. When I have the opportunity to find it I will try to scan and send it to you.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GBB.2ACI/1437.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi , I really don't know anything about my Kilbourn side other then my gg-grandmother was Rhoda. She married my gg-grandfather Abijah (Bige) Lewis and had several children. Their son John D. Lewis is who I descend from. Bige was shot and killed over in Wise county Virginia sometime after John D, was born and I suspect she remarried. I found a census with a Rhoda being married to a Hiram Morgan and it listed 3-4 children as being Lewis's and John D. was on it. I'm not 100% positive that this is them but the birthdate for John D. is very close to the one I have. There is also a document at Wise County that a Rhoda Kilbourn Collins deeded over a piece of property to her daughter's husband. The daughter is the same as listed on another census as having John D, living with her and her husband. I feel confident that these are the same people that I'm looking for. My great aunt once told me that " Rhoda" was buried in the family cemetery and the road was named after them as well. I'd always assumed it was "Kilbourn". But it may have been "Collins" if she was still married to this Collins when she died. The only other "Kilbourn" names that I've heard of have been "Opal" and "George". I sure hope someone can shed some light on these families. Thanks, Tammy
