Lisa and Joyce, This is my family to. Myrtle, Mittie's sister, in 1910 is my grandmother. I am not positive, but I do believe this Mollie Sizemore, who later married William Sizemore, is from the Luther Sizemore family. Luther, was my James Sizemore's brother. James who is in 1910 that Joyce posted. At first, I thought William "Will", might of been from that family because in 1880 there is a William listed as their son, but he was already 11 years old. There is also a Franklin listed, who was a neighbor of William and Mollie in 1920. I do not know about the Ep Sizemore, I don't find him listed anywhere. I was looking thru the Sizemore I made note of for 1900, but when I looked at the census along time ago, I must not of made note of them. Here is Luther's family in the 1880 census, living next door to his parents, William and Mourning Sizemore. Enumeration District # 61 House # 249 Luther Sizemore, 27 years Gemima 25 years William 11 years John 8 years James 4 years Franklin 1 year George 1 year *** Luther also has a daughter Mollie who shows up in the 1910 with him, so the name runs in the family. This George, house # 68, was a neighbor of Luther's in 1910, so I assume he was his son.***. 1920 Leslie Co., Census Hyden Precinct # 1 Rockhouse Creek Road House # 197/198 Ep Sizemore, 42 years Lucy, Wife, 49 years Mollie, daughter, 11 years House # 198/199 Frank Sizemore, 45 years Bertha, Wife, 33 years Emmitt, Son, 7 years David, Son, 5 years Kelly, Son, 4 years and ? months Mollie, Daughter, 1 year House # 199/200 William Sizemore, 29 years Mollie, Wife, 29 years Ethel, Daughter, 9 years Tinsley, Son, 7 years Manford, Son, 4 years, 11 months Bruce, Son, 3 years, 4 months. This still does not tell us where William came from, but maybe today I can search thru the 1900 again, I don't have it transcribed. Before, when I looked, I was looking for just a "Will" Sizemore. Lisa mentions a Chaney and Jack Sizemore. I believe this would be Andrew Jackson and China Sizemore. He is listed as Jack and she was listed as China, in 1880, and I do not show a William, maybe after 1880 they might of had a William. Well, anyway, maybe with this information, something might come up from someone to help you. My uncle did not know your Will, but my aunt recalled that Mittie had a son by a Will Sizemore, and I think she told me, he was quite a bit older than her, but it has been a very long time ago. Born around 1890 in Leslie County, died 7/25/70 in Perry County. Will was first married to Mittie Sizemore. Their child was my grandfather, Monroe Sizemore. Will later married Mollie (last name unknown) and had the following children: Bruce (born 8/22/1916), Manford (born 2/17/1915), Wilson (born 4/28/1913). I believe Mollie had a child from an earlier marriage named Ethel. I am looking for information on Will's parents. Possible names may be Chaney and Jack. Recent information told to me leads me to believe that Will may not have been a Sizemore by birth but raised by a family with that surname. It is also possible that he was a Sizemore by birth but raised by a family with a different surname. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
